About the Combined National Day & Mid-Autumn Festival (October 1st is National Day, October 6th is Mid-Autumn Festival this year):

National Day of the People's Republic of China is a significant statutory holiday, celebrating the founding and development of the nation. 

During this festival, activities like flag-raising ceremonies and city light shows are held nationwide, allowing people to feel the country’s prosperity and pass on patriotism.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival centered on the theme of "reunion".

People celebrate it by admiring the full moon, eating mooncakes (round pastries with various fillings) and reuniting with family, expressing their care for family ties and good wishes.
